Making a Game: “Hero Time”

I decided to make my videogame from Scratch. I liked how the website had tutorials on how to make different types of games and edits which was really helpful especially since I had no experience making any kind of game online. I also asked one of my roommates for help on a couple steps too, having more technology knowledge. Once I figured out what the commands and tabs were saying, it was easier to make the game than I thought, however, it was a little tedious. When I was thinking through the process of making the game, I decided to base the game off of the TV show Merlin, because it not only is one of my favorite shows, but is a show about magic and adventure, which I thought would be good for a game. I first planned out what ending the game, what reward I would have for the user, and then worked through the ways I would have the main character get there. I then found the characters and background through the clipart options on the website and put in the dialog and the title and sound affects at the end of the process. I am glad I was able to have the opportunity to make this game, otherwise I never would have known how accessible making a game really is. I hope you all enjoy playing “Hero Time”!
